Banana Yucca in Bloom

In the Southwest, there are plenty of cacti, yucca, agave, and aloe everywhere you look. Between the latter three, it's often hard to tell them apart.

 

This is Yucca baccata, or the Banana Yucca, which is characterized by the short flower stalk in the center with white/cream colored flowers which often have purple shading.
