San Diego Winter Blues

El Niño has been plaguing - I mean blessing - us this year in San Diego.

During El Niño years, rainfall and cooler temperatures dominate the winter months far more than normal. It creates havoc on the roads, makes people double their investments in parkas and Uggs, and creates an amazing amount of lush green stuff (mostly weeds) around the county.

It also brings interesting sunsets and sunrises, from time to time, like during this break in the rain action, in mid-February. The clouds were moving at a good clip, and the surface winds were not inconsequential, so in a 25-second exposure, you see a little movement. But it was also somewhere in the neighborhood of 55°F in February, so not too much to complain about.
