Project Azazel
Panhard VBL
Fun little build! My UN forces needed a new armoured car so i went with this as i've always liked it's shaping. The build is 6 wide and has room for 3 figs with posable steering.
I don't see very many of these made in lego and after starting to build it i realised why lmao. I would guess it's due to the complicated sloping all over and hatches that open in difficult ways. Window area is smaller on the real vehicle but this was the best choice at this scale while still wanting internal details like a steering wheel etc.
There will be upgrades to this later on like always.
Hatches all open...and close of course. 2 on the hood, 3 on the roof and 3 opening doors in total.
Bit of info on the real vehicle
The VBL is fully amphibious and can swim at 5.4 km, it is also air transportable by C-130, C-160 and A400M. It was developed during the 1980s and entered operational service in France in 1990. It has a fuel consumption of 16 litres per 100 km.
