A road to nowhere
The windless night combined with the fireworks to blanket the city in a thick smoke. Visibilities were easily under a quarter mile. This stretch of road you can usually see down for several miles, here you can barely see the stoplight about a quarter mile away.
Also, I got stopped by a policeman while taking this shot (since I'd parked my car in the turning lane -- I wasn't blocking any meaningful traffic because this turns into a farm plot). He asked if everything was okay, and when I told him I just stopped for a photo opportunity, he was like "Okay, cool."
