Day 38 - Prosciutto Quiche

So, Thursday. We stop to pick up a network switch for my house, then we start driving toward a dinner location. You see, this is usually a bad time for us, because we're horribly undecisive and usually very hungry. So everything sounds good but nothing pops to mind. It's a standard dilemma that leads to the same food regularly. This is why we end up at Sam & Louie's a lot.

But, today was different, I figured out where we should go before it was too late (though we were already in the car by that point and moving). But, as I was driving, I didn't tell Marcus where we were going. We drove up Dodge, through Regency, and finally stopped at Wheatfields. This place has an absurdly large menu, the food is good, and the service is usually pretty good. Well, the thing is, since I didn't tell Marcus where we were going, he felt it necessary to comment several times during the evening "Well, I didn't know we were coming here. If I did, I could have started thinking about what to eat on the way!"

I've made life easy on myself there most of the time -- focus on the "specials" menu. Today, the quiche jumped out at me. Which is odd, because I never eat quiche. Like, it's been several years never. But, today, it sounded good., with the hash browns and the apples. And it was quite good.

So, if you've never been in there, you should probably stop in at least once and give them a try. Just plan for extra time to read the menu.
