Sunrise in the Mirror
A little after 8 on a Saturday... it's clearly far too early to be awake.
Well, most weeks that's true, but this week is the prerelease. Every quarter, they hold a special Magic event where you get to play with cards from a new set two weeks before they're actually released for sale. I haven't missed one for about five years, and I don't look to be close to it anytime soon.
So, as I'm disembarking from Starbucks with my morning cup of coffee (which lasted me until about 9:00 that night -- that's pretty good for no food whatsoever), I see a cloud about to interact with the rising sun, noting that it would probably be a cool shot to catch with the sun behind the cloud.
Sure enough, sitting stopped at a red light I see it behind me -- sort of. Not at a good spot to turn around and grab it, I have to resort to the side mirror. Only, I couldn't just point from where my head was, no then I couldn't see anything. I actually have the camera between the steering wheel and the dash, zoomed slightly, and all kinds of funky to actually take a shot with. I'm lucky to even _get_ a picture from that angle, and I'm lucky the sunrise part turned out as well as it did.
(Now, true, this isn't a horizon sunrise shot, it's actually a little more than an hour after sunrise, but I'm still calling it sunrise, because it's my shot and I can. :))
