Bugs in a web

The eternal struggle... on the porchlamp to the right of the door, we've got spiders; in the hosereel to the left of the door, we've got some kind of wasp (I'm not very scientific here -- they fly, aren't small, and look like they could sting me hard and repeatedly. Well, as I looked up at our massive web this evening, I noticed someone large had joined in... so I snapped my picture (yay, super-macro mode). Score one for the spiders... (or so it seems).
