Redevelopment

In 1997 Pabst, one of Milwaukee's oldest breweries (dating from 1844), closed the doors at it's Milwaukee Brewery. Sadly leaving large numbers of people without jobs.

Interestingly - After several years of floating production of their beers (including PBR and Colt 45) to various breweries across the country. A large portion is now produced a mile or two away at once rival Miller Brewing.

Developers are investing $300 million to reawaken the dormant property with a mix of retail, housing, office and entertainment space. At the center of the new PabstCity in a courtyard near Blue Ribbon Hall, a bronze statute of Capt. Pabst stands as a reminder of the once dominant brewer. -Business Journals, Inc.
