This is the ceremony in Assamese wedding, mostly happens a day prior to the main wedding ceremony, where members of the boy's family doles up the bride-to-be with gifts and wishes that are needed to start a new life, including clothes, jewellery, cosmetics etc. This is basically like blessing and welcoming the new bride to the family. Here the brides sis-in law is gifting her with a bangle.
