Great Wall, China
Views of Jinshanling section of the Great Wall of China the morning after a rare winter snow fall. Much of this section of the wall was rebuilt/repaired starting in 1981. This part of the wall is 135km north of Beijing.
Changing of the guard: Stark against late winter snow, ramparts of brick and stone twist through mountains norh of Beijing. Ancient emblem of the Middle Kingdom's determination to protect itself from outsiders, the Great Wall now stands among China's greatest global tourist attractions.
