Film Fanatic Prize at the Summer Reading Soiree 2017

Our second annual Summer Reading Soiree celebrated the love of both reading and art. The evening featured Christina Baker Kline, New York Times bestselling author of “The Orphan Train,” who discussed and signed copies of her latest novel, “A Piece of the World.” The book is a fictionalized memoir of the woman in the famed Andrew Wyeth painting “Christina’s World.”

Attendees had a chance to stroll the exhibits at the Arts Council while enjoying sparkling beverages provided by Cool Vines, delicious appetizers from Princeton Soup and Sandwich Co., delightful desserts from Ritzy Bakes, fresh fruit from Tico's Eatery and handmade sorbet from the bent spoon. The first 50 attendees received a limited edition wooden bookmark and all who attended were able enter a raffle to win some great prizes donated by local merchants.

The event was held at the Paul Robeson Center and co-sponsored by the library, Labyrinth Books and The Arts Council of Princeton.
