TiaMaria in the Winter of her Years
She is the most resilient of dogs. She was diagnosed with Mast Cell cancer 2 years ago, I had 1 tumor surgically removed, but we aborted surgery when it was discovered there were multiple lesions. I’ve since treated her palliatively. She then developed hypothyroidism and is now diabetic. I’m still adjusting her insulin doses based on her glucose curves, and since I’ve started to use 8mm 31 gauge needles the whole process has become much easier for both of us, but it has been an incredible learning curve for me. She is comfortable, although she can no longer walk for more than 100 yards. I’ll continue to maintain her as long as she remains comfortable.
