LOS ANGELES PIPELINE.

Many years ago, the city of Los Angeles in need of water found a source in the Owens Valley, just east of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. They installed this pipeline to move water to downtown Los Angeles. I use my six-foot-tall wife as reference to show the size of the pipeline. The fertile Owens valley was turned into desert.
