Remnants Of The Storm
First off, the Zeiss Distagon T* 2,8/21 is a freak of nature. I shot most of my landscapes at f/8 on this trip, but occasionally, I'd finish off with one f/2.8 shot, just to see how the 21mm renders things (I normally would not do this, but this lens is a rental, and I wanted to develop the most accurate opinions on it as possible)...so anyway, I liked the look of this shot most of the default composition for Wild Goose Island Overlook. So after I've spent my time editing, all the while assuming this was at f/8, I notice something odd in the metadata. The file says f/2.8. I look back at the shot, thinking that this cannot be right, that there was some mistake...but nope, metadata is correct. Never before have I encountered a wide angle with such awesome corner to corner performance, let alone wide open. This lens is a beast.

Sometime later I'll post a shot from down by the water; the wave action was quite intense for a while. This was taken during a break in the wind; the rest of the day was 40-50 mph wind almost constantly.
