Armentières Trench Map WW1, excellent condition
Inscribed on the front, it seems that this map belonged to Captain Andrew (Andy) Bruce FORDYCE 12/102 1890-1955

Proceedings of a medical board
"He is still very debilitated and anaemic. The acute systolic murmur is well marked but it is considered that this may be functional. The heart is distinctly irregular in its action."
If caused by military service, to what specific conditions is it attributed?
"To constant exposure to wet and cold in the trenches at Armentières." Lt. P. C. Fenwick, President.

"Admitted to No.1 NZ General Hospital suffering H.E. [high explosive] wound R cheek and mouth with partial fracture of left lower jaw ... An operation for the removal of F.B. and the removal of pieces of bone had been done in France, and on admission here his wounds were open and discharging. The wounds were sutured and are now firmly healed. There is good movement of the jaw both laterally and vertically, and only very slight tenderness of the site of injury. General condition is good." [2]

Gunshot wounds to buttock and thigh suffered at Crevecoeur.
By 30 November 1918 "scar of entry in R buttock healed, exit at anus healed. Has almost complete control of bowel movements and motion is normal..." [3]
3 March 1919
Influenza, London
"While waiting off duty at Grantham, took severe influenza
on 1.3.19 was admitted to No.2 NZGH.
3.3.19 with temp 104 and definite pulmonalis
6.3.19 temp subsided by crisis and has remained normal
9.4.19 boarded [4]
