Jacket Flat Sketch

Here is a flat sketch of a deconstructed denim blazer jacket that I designed. It was a part of a collection that was inspired by Tim Burton's "Edward Scissorhands" & Sally from "A Nightmare Before Christmas". This picture was taken before I began the draping process. I wanted the jacket to have a patchwork look to it. The fabric I wanted to use was an amazing quality black stretch denim that was treated with an acid wash look. Certain areas would be really distressed and have shredded pieces of denim paneled in as pictured .I also wanted to incorporate some safety pins into the jacket as decoration.
