800 110a conversion test photo
I had a 800 in good cosmetic condition (but with a funny smell) and a 110a that was very badly corroded on the body with a bad bellows but with a good lens/shutter.
I grafted a packfilm back on the 800 (following Option 8s instructions but found the lens was not very good.
Then I transplanted the front standard of the 110a on the 800/packfilm conversion.
The only difficulty was that the lens end of the bellows was different so I had to remove the metal plate from the 110a bellows and glue it into the 800 bellows.
After aligning the RF I shot a first test.
It came out razor sharp
I'll have to work on the cosmetics, filling gaps etc. but it works perfectly.
I have another 110a in perfect condition
that I'll convert next now that I know how it is done.
