"Nandaimon", the Great South Gate of Todaiji Temple
"Nandaimon", the great south gate of the Todaiji temple was originally built in the 8th century. This was destroyed by a strong storm in 962. This gate was rebuilt in 1199, and a couple of great statues of Nio Guardians inside it in 1203. "Nandaimon" that now we can see is more than 810 years old.
