storm brewing

I could have the timing wrong, but I think it was the second night there that we had one of several very violent thunderstorms. Things cooled down and got breezy and it was great to witness, especially since we don't get anything like this in California. The lightning was so bright it hurt your eyes if you looked anywhere near it and you could feel the thunder in the ground. That sounds like a great first line of a novel.
