The first afternoon after we arrived, we took the most gruelling hike on the property, which brought us down to this beach. It wouldn't have been nearly as gruelling if not for the brutal temps and humidity. Inside the rainforest, it's cooler, but more humid and no breeze at all. One of the things we had to get used to was that you can't hike at a normal rate or you'll sweat to death. You have to take this really slow, measured pace and stop to cool down frequently.
