2011 A Decade Later: Station Square

Digging through the archives takes us back to a decade ago today, December 11, 2011. A pair of CSX YN2 C40-8W "cookie thumpers" highball west with a train of autoracks. CSX was in the beginning phases of their $850 million National Gateway infrastructure clearance project which would eventually allow for double stack container trains. CSXT 7889 was eventually repainted into YN3b and wore an Atlantic Coast Line Emblem for a short time before being retired in the name of PSR.
