UCity College & Career Fair 2019

North Carolina area colleges, universities, and vocational schools convened at University City Regional Library to provide families with opportunities to speak with school representatives, take home educational resources, learn more about college life, and explore educational pathways. Financial aid experts from College Foundation of North Carolina kicked off the College and Career Fair with options on how to apply and pay for college. And local professionals spoke with families about alternative careers such as dancing, photography, theatre, and more. Over 300 families received “college knowledge” to prepare their teens for success and lifelong learning!

Throughout the day, children engaged in activities dedicated to Community Helpers. An officer from Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department’s Bears Behind the Badge even visited to read to children during family storytime! Free popcorn and a drop-in dance session from a career panelist rounded out some of the fun activities families enjoyed.
