Part-time perfectionism
I think Kat coined "part-time perfectionism" and now I use it all the time. So, I'm not a perfectionist in ALL things all the time, but there are times when I get a little crazy about making something correctly. The first turtleneck tube vest is on the right -- I had already bound off and separated the front from the back and was halfway through the increases on the front when I decided to try it on. My reaction: DO NOT WANT!
It was baaaad. Mock turtleneck action. And mock turtlenecks are like mullets -- when you see one, you get a visceral reaction that you can't quite contain. And you start a new Turtleneck Tube Vest right away while keeping the old one on waste yarn.
Note - the pattern calls for 5" of ribbed neck business and I made the mistake of thinking 3" would be better. It's SO not.
