This was the house we lived in when I was in the 5th and 6th grades. My brother Jeff was born while we lived here. My bedroom was the second floor gable right up front in the picture here. When we lived here, the house was painted either a dark green or brown with yellow trim. The garage to the right is new: there was an empty wooded lot there back when.
The house had previously been lived in by an employee of the Heath Company: in the basement we found dozens of Number 10 cans full of crunchy toffee that didn't make it into the candy bars because it had broken.
Also, I remember waking up the first night there with fleas all over my body, itching. My dad and mom took me to the emergency room, and I remember the doctor on duty laughing at me, as if it was the funniest thing he's ever heard. Bastard.
