Happy Fence Friday {Spring in Wicker Park} Edition!

11/52 -- Totally missed last weeks '52 shot!'

Finally! Yesterday I was inspired to pick up my camera. I drove to the lake and caught the sunrise. As I sat and watched the sun ascend into the sky, I thought about what to do next. My thoughts drifted to one of my wonderful Flickr Friends Spanish Moss. Her photos from around Chicago inspired me to get out and see more of the city; to seek out the different neighborhoods. The first one that came to mind is Wicker Park because on her stream she had posted a picture from that neighborhood and I remember commenting that I had never been there before. Check out her photostream! She has some wonderful photography from around Chicagoland and some very unique & creative self portraits.

Along a side street, I found this fabulous rustic, iron fence with a most welcome bit of spring curling around the finials ... and the backdrop was so full of delicious color! I wanted the detail of the weathered finial, and also the colorful background ... so this image is a blending of two images!

I have to run out for some morning errands but I shall be back this afternoon to check out all the cool fences!! Happy Fence Friday!
