261/365: Don't sink the boat that you built to keep afloat
Project 365
Saturday• September 18, 2010
So last night, I had decided to finally sink the "365 Boat." I started the project in 2009 to 'keep myself afloat during my time of unemployment' and to improve my photography. I achieved both goals but lately, I have found myself uninspired and floundering. I took photos only two days for the month of September ... and realized it was time to send the boat to Davy Jones' Locker. I related this plan to the girls this morning and they were very upset with me for giving it up; and needless to say, they talked me into not giving up. It is interesting to see how our roles have reversed. So tomorrow will be the dawn of a new day.
This image was taken on a sunset sail in Key West. The title is from a favorite Flogging Molly song. I thought of this song a lot during my hiatus from the working world: Flogging Molly — Float
