Dear Andy

A bit slow in reporting but I made a visit on 13/03/2024.

It was grey with a strong NW breeze.

The ditch where we park was very full and everywhere was very wet.

I could hear Skylarks in the Chalgrave Church field but there was no frog spawn visible in the initial pool.

The big willow in the entrance way is starting to lean o.ver your fence. Generally all fencing was looking good.

There was a bit of litter outside the main gate.

At the furthest end of the reserve a Blackthorn branch is overhanging the fence.

Several Red Kites overhead.

Some Mole activity noted.

Half way down main strip there are 3 large clumps of Bramble.

Time spent 1 hour on visit and .5hr on admin total volunteer time 1.5hrs.

Hoping to see volunteers at DSM tomorrow if not raining.

All the best

John

PS

I have registered the adjoining lands East & West of DSM into the new government nature initiative being administered by CBC.
