Hi Peter

Thought you might be interested in this . The box catch and lower area seems to be getting very tired. No idea if it is occupied or not.

Hope you are well.

to me, David

Thanks John.Yes, does indeed look like it needs a bit of TLC. Tawnies can be more skittish with disturbance than other owls, so I am happy to leave doing any work on it until I do my usual check, probably sometime next month.I think it will be ok, even if not ideal, until then.Hope this makes sense!

Regards, Peter

to Sue, Joyce, Peter, me

Good morning All

Just to let you know that Sue may have a plan which might enable the existing box to be replaced.

Peter - perhaps you could check with me or Sue when you next plan to visit DENR.

Kind regards

David

A brief afternoon visit to Duck End Nature Reserve, Maulden TL051374 on 25/03/2022. I had the reserve to myself but there was not a lot to see today. I disturbed a male Mallard and a Moorhen at Pond 3 and there were a few birds singing.
