Informationen/informationAcquired as a rolling, complete but non-running chassis with a crude touring body, the owner began the five year rebuild in 1992.

 

The original narrow track chassis was shortened and modified to ‘Sprite’ underslung pattern with 8’ 1½” wheelbase.

 

The engine was rebuilt with postwar crank, omega pistons, Newman Cams. Pre-selector gearbox rebuilt with close ratio gears. Back axle rebuilt with 4.77:1 ratio. 19" wheels.

 

The aluminium 2-seater body was designed by the owner, fabricated by John/Ian Pitney with assembly and fitting out by the owner.

 

Original or period components have been retained and overhauled wherever possible. The car weighs approx. 16 cwt in road going trim.
