Cricket Worship

This is not so famous ( in comparison to the Monasteries of Ladhak or Spiti) Pedong Monastery of Kalimpong. Old wooden structure, cell phone totting group of young lama rushing in a very busy manner ; sometime a kind of corporate attitude ( don't laugh ). Now the issue is not the attitude or the busty Bollywood divas poster on the wooden wall those things are common in this 21st century Monasteries ( it is a fashion to tell lie about the environment of today's monasteries and their knowledge of the value of world currencies ) the issue is Cricket.

Most of the world hardly know that there is a game called Cricket. Indeed this is very popular only in Britain and those places where British queen ran her organisation of Loot ( as you know British queen wears stolen Diamond on her crown and British Museum has largest collection of Stolen Objects on earth and heaven ) so this game has taken over entire India like a deadly Viral infection. The vector of this Virus is FMCG companies. When fever comes the whole nation gets glued to the television and bookies start working overtime! Players join them to win or lose a game , middle aged Cine Tsar starts behaving like Pre Teen School Drop Out brat...... blah blah blah

In 1904 when Captain Younghusband invaded Tibet with British army he wrote back in glee that Tibetans took up Soccer and that was getting played in Lhasa. This was a great achievement of British crown ! I don't know how many boys get a chance to practice Soccer in Lhasa today but here you have material proof that Cricket is practiced by Tibetan Monks in Pedong Monastery . Those 3 yellow sticks are called Wicket and they are very wicked indeed !

*** This is a Nonsense write up ; I have no prejudice against any religion or culture. There are 20 thousand way to reach the ultimate and all are valuable. The energy and vibe that you get inside any monastery is unmatched. They are storehouse of exquisite art and knowledge.
