Pantheon
The Pantheon means "all gods" and was built by emporer Hadrian about 120 A.D. as a temple to the classical gods of Rome. It was turned into a Christian church in 608 A.D. and as a result did not suffer from the same level of neglect as the other ancient Roman buildings in the city.
