Santorini
A map of the island of Santorini, sometimes also known as Thera. The two principal islands are the rim of a volcanic crater formed when a violent eruption of the volcano about 3,500 years ago blew the center of the island sky high. The smaller islands in the center of the caldera are lava cones forming more recently from later eruptions.
