Encore performance by Mrs. Coenia...
...and best vewed large or on black.
Good morning. I thought I would follow up on the series I posted on the Common Buckeye (Junonia coenia) this past Monday with a few more open wing shots taken a bit later in the season. Three diiferent butterflies taken at different times starting with the above on Heath Aster (Aster pilosus).
I hope you enjoy this short series on one of our most beautiful, and probably under rated of butterflies...and I hope you have a truly nice Friday and weekend. And early Happy Halloween wishes for those of you who indulge in such things. As for me, the less trick or treaters the better. Then I get to keep all the candy for myself :-)
