The Spice Girl is back...

...and best viewed large.

Good morning and I hope everyone had a nice weekend. As promised yesterday, it's back to bugs today...although I don't consider butteflies as simple bugs. Much too beautiful and elegant for that crude connotation. Featured today for a second time this season is the Spicebush Swallowtail (Papilio troilus) seen here feeding on Swamp Milkweed (Asclepias incarnata).

Before I forget, after a brief stint on flickr this morning I'll be indisposed for the rest of the day as I have to report for jury duty. So it's possible I might be amongst the missing for a few days. Hard to believe, but this is the 4th time I've been selected for jury duty in the past ten (10) years. I had to report twice and actually served on one jury for an arson trial. In case you're curious, it ended up as a "hung" jury, but your's truly voted guilty as charged.

I'd also like to mention that after serving on an actual jury it's not even remotely close as to what you see on TV or in the movies. And I have a much greater respect for how difficult it is for the prosecution to get a conviction.

Thank you for stopping by today...and I hope you have a great Monday and week.
