Daimler Conquest Century RTT 626 parked in the car park at Osbourne House, Ise of Wight, 18th October 2019. The Daimler Conquest was in production between 1953 and 1958. The Century version introduced in 1954 was fitted with an uprated straight six 2,433cc engine developing 100bhp compared to the 75bhp version of the engine fitted to the standard Conquest. Production numbers were not great with just under 10,000 Conquest manufactured with around 4,800 being Conquest Century’s. RTT 626 is an early Century being first registered in July 1954.
