SHIPtember 2017: The Basilisk

It's a wrap!

#SHIPtember2017 proved an awesome challenge yet again. Transforming this beasty from sketch to brick was a hell of a ride :D

The Basilisk, a terran battlecruiser made for deep space exploration and patrol duties. Scanning clusters, taking care of space security and deploying it's drones wherever they come in handy, this mission ship is a versatile asset for any fleet. It's bulky tank-like appearance makes many a space pirate shiver their timbers. Yet, with it's fins withdrawn the Basilisk's speed and agility are on par with any common cruiser out there. The bridge houses a crew of four. The deck below is accessible trough a ladder, which leads to the bunks area, armory and cantina. The mid-section consists of a drone bay with capacity of three medium sized drones. The hangar has three servicestations and a workshop. Behind the drone bay is a storage area which leads to the rear section. The mainframe situated in the rear section provides tech support on missions and enables drone control. The back section houses a small pressurized landing area with a cargo shuttle for transit, trading and multi-purpose pitstops. The sliding top opens up for space access.
