Introductory Dive course
Had my children on their introductory diving course at Dan's Dives at Malapascua Island 2012 .
Malapascua Island has fairly good beach but it's not made known for its beach but for the Thresher Shark Diving. Thirty feet below, the Monad Shoal there is special appearances of this rare Thresher shark in the mornings which is the main attraction for the island. Many diving centres are found along the main tourist beach. If diving isn't your cuppa tea, and you're aiming for a stunning beach scenery , I recommend Palawan at El Nido with hundreds of small uninhabited islands to choose from and white sandy beaches , pristine sea ( South China Sea :) or maybe head to less popular south of Palawan past Rio Toba but I don't feel there's tourism out there .
We had been around Palawan 1992 , long time ago, when tourism hasn't blossomed yet much over the area. But Malapascua has it's charm too, don't get me wrong . We had a great time in the island and feels like a little reflection of Boracay in the 1993.
Dan had delivered patiently a comprehensive step by step introductory diving course for my daughters and keeping an eye of his health and safety standards , he is excellent in my opinion . My kids enjoyed them and possibly would look more into underwater diving in the future. Dan is the one on the right hand side in this picture with snorkel on , and the other diver is Mark .
