Single room 2011

This was taken during 2011 solo Philippine trip .I still have many pictures to post taken during this trip, but seemed buried in time .Now we get closer to the end of 2012 , haven't posted as many as I should have done.Anyway ,here's one - taken at the Fuente Pensionne budget accomodation in Cebu City .This might not be so amusing or interesting as a lovely beach or a lovely plus hotel with hanging chandeliers .I posted this to give idea what a typical budget room look like in Cebu .I must say Cebu has loads of accomodation choices . You can possibly find some accomodations cheaper than this ,a new modern building , better fascilities and located at the heart of the city .

This accomodation is very central to the Cebu city and very near few big shopping Malls including Ayala Mall . This Pensionne house has gone past its hey day but serves good for me as it has wifi too .It's clean ,with airconed rooms, has hot shower ( I don't need hot showers when in the Philippines ), has cable TV ,safety deposit box.It has a mini restaurant or coffee bar at the roof top if staying in . I paid just a little over a a thousand peso for the night here , which is approximately £ 15 or $24 of current exchanged rate . I've come across discussions over the web of people complaining loosing their money in their room during the stay in the Pensionne house .But I can't figure out why some people would leave their money or valuables in the room when going out , when there's available safety deposit box service .

If you spotted the pair of slippers on the floor ,they're big for me,I'm one size down . I bought them by mistake on frenzy shopping in 2010 Philippine trip . I'm not a shoppaholic , I hate shopping .I'd rather oggle on my laptop screen than shop .But when I shop , sometimes it can be different . Well anyway the pair wouldn't fit my hubby , neither my kids .I have to use them myself as pair of shower room slippers , still made use of it. One thing , I can't dare used a shower room apart from one at home with bare feet , especially on hotel /guest houses , neither use their towels.

What I didn't like of this room was the huge mirror on the wall opposite the bed .I just don't like sleeping facing a big mirror and the idea of sleeping few stories high in a building .
