Location : Town of Santa Fe ,Bantayan Island off Cebu ,Philippines (2010)
Bantayan Island is a peaceful small island off mainland Cebu . Our first time seeing the island ,stayed there for around 6 days . Bantayan Island is accessible from Maya ,Cebu and from "Old town" port of Sagay in Negros Occidental . If you have to bring your car in with you to the island,you have to get your connection from Maya.There's a barge /ferry where it can load cars in. From Sagay ,the boats are smaller ,outrigger ones . It takes approximately 4 hours by boat from Sagay to Santa Fe ,Bantayan .I reckon 'twas only one boat connection in a day to the island.If you miss it, either wait for the next day or charter a private boat ,there are few around if you ask locals .It's not so organized out there ,it seem only by word of mouth for this charter arrangements .
