Secular Europe - Is this surprising ?
My answer is NO, this should be expected . We are all heading towards a point in the very near future when Christianity will inevitably go underground ,it is getting hated ,haven't you noticed it ? The world is gradually swept away into believing the God idea is antiquated along with array of theoretical /intellectual -philosophical perspectives ,dogmas , that reject the creator with all political correctness . Atheism is on the loose . If you talk about it at work maybe you'll loose your job , and majority you bet thinks you're stupid ,loony and perhaps openly ridiculed . Majority of confessing Christians are even afraid /ashamed of to pronounce their faith . Imagine if they're faced with choice of Guillotines ,you know for sure what the outcome will be ,predictable. Christianity in practice is getting cold and waning down and morphing into new form of liberal Christianity to suit / molly-cuddle human covetousness and the "me ,me and me " culture with less burden of guilt and responsibility . Christianity is only in the name and label . Most churches you see are filled with old people ,it's understandable...myself haven't gone to church for 20 years or so ,and still looking for the right one . I am not saying this is right practice ,but the desire is there . I'm not perfect , just forgiven . Most important to remember - God sees your heart !
However , I can't see going to church every Sunday is a measure of faith but undeniably as important part of - to fellowship in order to grow ,support and share the faith with with others through outreach . A beautiful church building isn't a church , the church are the people truly in Christ irrespective of religious affiliation . In a different light , Sunday worship is a Roman twist of what meant to be Saturday as the rest day ( I am not a Seventh Day Adventist or was before ) . But as you can see ,there's so much changes done by religions claiming they are the anointed ones but lead people to complete unbiblical practices with very subtle nature of paganism ,including worship of images ( by experience long time ago ) and many do follow blindly without checking the scriptures as the ultimate guide .People give their trust fully without a question what is spoon feed on them . This is the time people should search / dig up more of the truth . Anyway ,this is a different discussion . I'm not up or inciting any religious debate here ,k . Well ,to sum up with ,this is my impression of these days . Let's see what this great delusion is and is coming .... I'm sorry , this isn't doom and gloom , the prerequisites for the stage are clearly evident , major moral decline across the social spectrum is one .
*Majority of kids /young people today are a generation that are predominantly godless, hedonistic , loving of self pleasures , obsessed with materialism . Clear evidence of it was the London riots which personally dawning on me as a shadow of the future whether you believe it or not .
