Overlooking Bonbonon Bay
DSC_0736
Bonbonon Bay is also known as Tambobo Bay , is located in the southern part Negros and belongs to the district of Siaton .
It is a known anchorage for boats and yatchs in the Visayas ,giving protection from treacherous force of odd storms and typhoons . This part of the Philippines is outside the typhoon belt ,so most times during typhoon season we get only rain and drizzles . Lucky , no disasters .
This is very near the Kokoos Nest ,The Antulang Beach Reasort ,and the Tongo Sail Inn ( Tambobo side ) owned by Nigel Roberts ,another British in the area who makes sail boats including Catamarans .
At the time of our visit apart from the hundreds of local fishing boats near the entrance of the Bay , there were about nearly 50 foreign yachts anchored in the Bay interior.
