This was one of the shots I've taken below the massive rocks of the Meteora Monasteries ( Greece 2008 ) .
It was late in the afternoon when we arrived at our guest house nearby Meteora . Behind the accomadation towers a huge rock with a monastery sitting on top .Though we were tired from the drive but it was such a shame to end the day lounging waiting for dinner time . Whilst the kids were not keen on any walks after the long drive from Thessaloniki ,we did kill the rest of the daylight having a short walk through the bushes and eventually climbing up the big rock .We knew the monastery will be closed by the time we reached the point ,or even earlier but it was a lovely afternoon and it would be picturesque from the top watching the sunset .It indeed offers spendid scenery from the top ,but one thing uniquely cool ,we were the only ones up there - no tourists .
I was going through a large backlog of photos taken as far back as 2006 ,a large number of them yet to post .
