All day's work

This was taken on our way to Sipalay from Dumaguete .That was my first time ever to pass by this part of the island .I was kind of surprised , of all development and infrastructure investments going in and around the province , the whole town showed some visible truth of being left out for a long time , development was nil . The main highway was a like a new dirt road of this age considering it is a national highway . I can't believe my eyes . I wasn't expecting and it came strongly overwhelming to me . It also proved I haven't seen much this island anyhow where I grew up .There was no on going road project and completely in contrast in what you'll find in other areas .I can only guess of the reasons and many excuses why . Shops were like shacks put together and with no question that people also were socially marginalized and deprived of any opportunites . No wonder I hear more whispers and news of NPA guerillas in this part of the island before and perhaps still is now . If there is no hope or anything positive happening to improve the lives of the people ,there's nothing for them to loose either if they resort to underground rebellion . Only my opinion .
