At Mactan International Airport , Cebu
Two weeks into my holiday time I was ill with symptoms similar to the dreaded swine flu ,jeeeeez I was in sheer paranoia and quarantined myself , with lesser contact with other people other than family . I was getting so worried ,in case it was .I started with some sore throat , lost my vioce ,I had fever ,chills ,red teary eyes ,sneezing like hell for few days ,cough started and I was so chesty with heavy breathing ,which got me to use my inhalers I brought along . I was very lethargic and so pale . I had thoughts of having myself checked up but decided not to . It will probably send health authorities in panic . If I ever get worse after a week and no sign I have improved then that be it . You can get over the counter anti-biotics in PI easy ,but didn't go that path crazy . After a week I was glad I was getting better , though left with a chesty cough . Then I went back to the city for few days to check the works in Valencia , I knew I wasn't hundred percent ... then surprise ,surprise ... huh I catched a tommy bug having the "No. 7 " runs and felt terrible ,appetite had dwindled too . Many times we did visit the PI ,never got one like this .But on this particular solo trip - it seemed I got them all at one blow .
My prostective plan to visit Camiguin island ,Guimaras or Bantayan Island ( solo or with my sis as company ) was put on hold ,no more time left . Even the day I boarded the plane Cebu - London I still suffered some tommy ache and runs .Lucky the plane wasn't so full .I doubt the airline was making money on that trip .There were many set rows empty and some people enjoyed the stretch in economy flight . It went easy for me with less people using the loo that time .
I brought 4 SD cards with 4 gigabytes on each on this last trip thinking I'll be taking many thousands of pics but had only used one with still more space left for next family holiday photos in three weeks time .In comparison SD cards are a lot more expensive in PI I noticed than in the UK.
