2 Timothy 2:23

"But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. "

 

I take this verse to heart. It's obvious to tell someone seeking the Lord who just want to ask questions , from someone who is simply looking for arguments and debates to debunk Christianity and the faith. The scriptures tell us not to entertain this type exchanges as it will develop into disputes, and no one wins. Christians are warned not to throw the pearls to swines. Meaning, the goodness of the message of salvation to people who already in their hearts rejected Jesus Christ as they will end up even ridiculing the faith.

 

Jesus didn't chase people up to believe Him. If one rejects God, accept it. In my own understanding, we have to dust our feet as we leave the person or his house. If the person is your family, friend or others you care for who rejects Christ, you can pray for them. But salvation is by individual bases.
