Is it some evolutionary excuse of what happened to the Indian Tika Masala in a Welsh pub or just a complete kitchen blunder

I should be in an Indian restuarant for real Indian food but we were too tired to look around and kids weren't keen anyway of spicy food ,so we hit straight to what looks like a nice pub in Llangolen (of last spring ) .There were various delicious choices in the menu but at that time I tried to be the odd one ,i did chose the Chicken Tika Masala ,as in the past it all turned out just fine even only using the ready-made tika sauce of Uncle Bens ,an easy find in supermarket shelves. Ouch , I must have poor taste . Anyway ,when the food came I was suprised it was ChickenTika Masala with chips ( with chips ? with less chicken ,just 2 tiny blobs of them floating in orange sauce ) and good heavens I can't imagine eating chips on it. I looked back at the menu and truely it was with chips not rice ,I must be dreaming when I ordered it or having my eyesight failure .It was my fault I must admit .So I push myself a bit ,goosh it was utterly revolting. The sauce taste odd ,even how starving I was i can't swallow it .I only just stared on the wall til they all finished and my husband offered to have a try and he finished a third of it , no question he has better or indiscrimating appetite than me. Ofcourse I wasn't in my best mood .I always assume Tika Masala comes with rice and putting chips instead of rice as a menu is a complete insult to this authentic Indian cuisine . Why choose tika masala if one can't eat rice and replace it with chips ?No doubt this happened to appear on the menu because there are some happy patrons for this particular new Tika masala invention ,I'm sorry but some tastebuds must be muddled . Why can't they pop in and just gorge in a Mc Donalds big cheesy Mac or a Take-away Fish and Chips rather than help initiate changes having this 'freaky clone' of Tika Masala in the menu . Now I have my moaning.
