One good thing I noticed in San Carlos was the major use of this pedal passenger transport which i rate green rather then the motor driven fuel gussling tricycles .This should be what Dumaguete city should follow ,get rid of the rickety fume emitting tricyles and to impose strict regulations across the board on the use of this of type vehicle and encouraged the use of the tri-sikads or these pedal driven transports as an option . I believe this is very ideal for small compact city ,affordable for locals , and does operate in short distances .

I knew others I encountered in different forums do have overall deslike of this kind of transport and suggested taxis to operate.

A small city like Dumaguete or San Carlos aren't for taxis and will inevitably contradict with the very intentions to be less polluting. Taxis are expensive to operate .Although electric cars are looming in the horizon to operate across , however financial affordability to many potential operators is still a question .Electric cars the least of it brand new cost nearly P400,000 pesos ,which is way too high for anyone in the bottom scale to afford. This isn't mass produced ,hence this is expensive.

Tri-sikads and the tricycles are old traditional characters of the city and to me they should remain ,but only to act as greener as we can ,so pedal transport personally gets my vote.
