We hit Bato crossing after 3 hours pounding the roads to the end tip of the island and these two barges were sitting there ready to ferry cars and buses to the next island. If crossing by foot ,you have to get off at Liloan ( only 5 minutes away from this port ) another port with big outrigger boats to take people across ,only about 30 mins to cross to negros or you could swim. The island in the background is Negros.
Another option is to start right from Cebu city itself ,catch the aircon fast ferry in the morning but they don't take cars .Takes three hours to Dumaguete because it stops over in Tagbilaran ,Bohol .It used to be only 2 hours for dumaguete if they get there straight on .
