Fish Talk!
Cefalù is a city and comune in the Italian Metropolitan City of Palermo. It’s located on the Tyrrhenian coast of Sicily. The town, with its population of just under 14,000, is one of the major tourist attractions in the region. Despite its size, every year it attracts millions of tourists from all parts of Sicily, Italy, Europe and the world for that matter.
Next to tourism, it is a very charming antiquated fishing village. One can say not much and yet also a lot about the Old Port of Cefalù. But in this case, the phrase “a picture is worth a thousand words” is completely true. The old fishing port, known also as the Molo, offers one of the most bewitching views of the city. The small beach, the rocks that enclose it, the 70-meter pier, the balconies of the buildings overlooking the sea, medieval gate, Porta Pescara, consisting of a Gothic arch that overlooks the small beach, makes this a picture perfect place.
Technical stuff
The X-T2 is perfect for such conditions. It is not to big to make people automatically wonder what one is doing, but it offers you pro-shots. This shot was taken at f8.0, 1/220, -2/3, 200 ISO and at 55mils.
Post-production was done with PS CC. It consisted of balancing the lighting on the fishermen with the rather bright background; to centralize and underline the focus. Colour toning and cropping. Finally, I added copyright signs. The latter is, alas, there to stay due to the fact that my photos were frequently copied. So, don't bother commenting on that.
