Special:

- The Citroen Type A Torpedo is the first car model designed by André Citroën and marketed by Citroën between May 1919 and July 1921.

- The Type A was built in the historic Citroën factories on the Quai de Javel in the 15th arrondissement of Paris (today Quai André Citroën) with 100 pieces per day in the same manner as the production of the Ford T.

- With a production rate of 100 vehicles a day, Citroën became the first mass production manufacturer in Europe.

- The chassis had inverted quarter ellipic springs at the front and double quarter elliptics at the rear.

- Braking was on the rear wheels only controlled by a hand lever with a foot pedal operated transmission brake.

- The "A" has a three-speed manual gearbox and rear wheel drive.

- The engine has termosifone cooling (no water pump).

- The 10 HP Type A (also known as "Citroën A (Torpedo) is the first Citroën car built.

- Because of his special way of advertising the brand acquires great fame.
